Yakuoin is a temple of Shingon sect of Buddhism, established in Kamakura era. It is famous for peony, so is also know as the peony temple.
A hundred of the roots offered by Nara-hase temple have grown to be about forty kinds and a thousand roots. They begin to bloom from the middle of April to the end, and the scenery is so beautiful that you forget that you are in the center of the metropolitan.
