The temple received 100 peony plants from the head temple of the sect, Hase-dera Temple in Nara, which have increased in number to 1,000 plants of about 40 kinds. During the peony season in mid-to-late April, the temple offers beautiful scenery with gorgeous peony blossoms, which will make you forget that you are in the center of a large city.
