The traditional beauty of Kyoto supporting geisha maiko

Special event to introduce Kyoto yuzen and Nishijin brocade, folkcraft of Kyoto supporting performing arts of geisha maiko including floral hairpin and culture of entertainment district to until from Wednesday, October 3 to Friday, November 9 holds "the tradition beauty of Kyoto supporting geisha maiko" in no charge for admission in Keio Plaza Hotel.

To the clothing and small tools, scenery print of Kyoto enhancing performing arts of entertainment district

Display is "the traditional beauty of Kyoto supporting geisha maiko" and introduces the traditional beauty of Kyoto including Kyoto yuzen and Nishijin brocade through kimono and floral hairpin of geisha maiko, and small tools of the stage supporting the performing arts such as flower umbrella or Ougi are displayed especially. In addition, it is touched entertainment district culture that we protect performing arts while performing panel display that photograph introduces 12 months of Kyoto, five entertainment districts (Gion back part, Miyagawacho, Kamishichiken, Pontocho, the Gion east), and respecting traditional event and pull. In addition, we display scenery of Kyoto by Masao Ido and original woodcut about the four seasons at the same time and sell and introduce scenery of Kyoto.

We invite popular geisha, maiko, district from piece shop of Miyagawacho on Thursday, October 25 and carry out performance of dance in lobby.
