We hold plan exhibition "two eyes of war photographer Tsuguichi Koyanagi" in Peace Memorial Museum for from Tuesday, June 5 to Sunday, September 2. Admission for free


Plan exhibition "two eyes of war photographer Tsuguichi Koyanagi"

Tsuguichi Koyanagi (1907-1994) played an active part as war photographer of army part-time service for long terms from 1938 (Showa 13) to the end of the war. By this plan exhibition, we focus on person called Koyanagi as well as photograph and take up the personality.


We introduce photograph of the same period in conjunction with war diary, favorite camera, same model machine of Baru NAC Leica, Junkichi Mukai of painter, friends and acquaintances with Ashihei Hino and others of writer known as soldier novel, interchange with the postwar war dead bereaved.


And photograph approaches for the historic meaning what was photographed for what how when where.
